Casa de la Jooste

There they are ladies and gentlemen...vertical blinds! Refer to day __.  So you guess it! Gee you are so smart! If only I could obtain your dynamic whit, charming charm and essence of detail that complies harnesses the intelligence of which you possess.  This is not just a living room, like at our home in Florida, it is a man cave.  Yes, you heard it right.  Now can your tell a difference of what Tim inhabits and where I spend my time.....see below!

Here it is! In all its splendor and glory.  The dinning table.  Of course I spend A LOT and boy do I mean a lot of time in the kitchen I do spend a lot of time here. Eating, paying bills, getting online. Reading etc.  Rarely and I in the living room and the bed room is ok but I happen to be very fond of this little corner. They only this it is missing is a cup of coffee and me in the chair!  The lamp is for Tim because there is no lighting over the table and he doesn't like to eat in the dark but I think it adds a tint of warmth with a subtleness that makes you feel more at home on the cloudy Pittsburgh days, such as today!
Here she is, not miss  America but the kitchen.  We eat pretty much every meal at home.  So I spend a lot of time in here. I don't mind it at all. Take note of the spice rack, kitchen utensils, cutting board and knives :)  All wonderful wedding gifts.   Jordana's pot and pans have gotten so much use, but for showing purposes they are nearly tucked way (cleaned first of course) under the cabinet while they rest before another round of cooking.
These are a close up of the Knives.  I felt that due to how many times I have been cut and left there in the kitchen bleeding that they deserved to be show off a bit.  I think that they having been begging for attention.  Longing for someone to notice them.  Well rest assured little knives that I see you, notice you and don't enjoy it when you cut me! I live you very much and over the years I know we will become great friends.  I already adore you.  It was love at first slice.  (buy some and you too can have a love like this!  WARNING like any relationship, it has its ups and downs but the joy of its pleasantries are worth the work and occasional pain.)

This is the view from our balcony.  Until I took this pic it didn't register that you can see the water from there! I was so excited!  Below us the the right is the offices. Neal and Susan are directly across from us and Ryan is in the building diagonal from us.

This is our bed room.  Uhm, I has a bed, a dresser to the wall on the left, a night and lamp (as pictured) and in front of the bed is the closed.  On the right wall is the door to the bathroom.  On the left wall before entering the bed room is the "linen-pantry closet".  I am most grateful because most people don't have any closets, other then the one is the bed room!  So even though my sheets and towels night smell like spices, onions, and protein powers, I am eternally grateful!  Oh on the same wall as the dresser is a window...which overlooks the walk way to all the doors, where bright lights shine when the sun goes down, hence Tim's desire for curtains!
This is the lovely little pillow we received as a wedding gift and I love it. It will match our wedding back home.  :)

This is our bathroom.  It works out well for those type of purposes.  It hasn't let me down once. Always right there when I need it.  The door (pictured) is where leads to the bedroom. There is another door in front of the toilet that leads to the kitchen!  You can get up and pee in the middle of the night grab a mid-night snack and circle back around through the main entrance of the room! (someone is so clever! Why didn't I think of that!)
